Joanie Andrews is the owner of Half Moon Yoga. She has been practicing yoga since 2000 and received her training and certification from Cleveland Yoga. She loves the physical yoga practice, but is most inspired by the inner peace and strength she has found through her yoga practice. As a yoga teacher, she hopes to pass this peace and strength on to her students. In addition to practicing yoga, Joanie is the proud of mother of Nick and Nina whom she adores! When she is not practicing yoga, Joanie enjoys advocating for people with disabilities, growing organics, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Joa nie ran cross country in college and has run numerous marathons and triathlons over the years. She no longer runs competitively but enjoys maintaining a sound body and mind by running and practicing yoga. Her discovery of yoga occurred in the late 90’s when she realized her hips and hamstrings were getting tighter with every mile she ran and every pound she lifted. Searching for more flexibility, she incorporated yoga into her routine and learned the many physical as well as mental and emotional benefits of yoga! Joanie now loves to share the gift of yoga through teaching. |
